Job Description

The ASC2 Technical Publications team is seeking a talented Programmer/Analyst to support and maintain authoring and publishing software used in the production of E-3 technical publications. The successful candidate will be expected to assist with the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications used to produce and deliver technical publications as well as modifies and upgrades these applications to maintain functionality and improve performance.
The preferred candidate will have some of the following:



Experience and/or training using any of these programming languages: Java/JSP, Arbortext Command Language, Perl, .NET, Active Server Page, JavaScript, JavaServer Pages, XSL/XPATH, OmniMark, Visual Basic, C#, CSS.



  • Experience and/or training using any of these databases: Access, Oracle, SQL Server, SQL Query.

  • Experience and/or training using any of these applications: Abortext Editor, IsoDraw Batch Programming, XPP, Contenta, Contenta Web.

  • Experience and/or training with any of the following specifications: S1000D, MIL-STD-38784, MIL-DTL-7700

  • Experience and/or training translating system requirements into application interfaces or web services design

Qualifications

Typical Education/ Experience:
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematics, scientific or information technology field of study.

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
